Let’s Edit with Media Composer – ADVANCED – Clip & Interface Color Options

Let's Edit with Media Composer - ADVANCED - Clip & Interface Color Options 2

In this Let’s Edit with Media Composer lesson, Kevin P McAuliffe talks about color. The color of your bins, the color of your Project window, and even the color of your timeline window, and how to adjust them. Then, it’s onto talking about how to adjust the clip colors in your timeline, which will give you an extra layer of organization, to keep your projects running smooth and simple!

This was a funny lesson to do, as it’s not something that I normally do in my Media Composer interface.  I normally stick with the standard, boring grey Bin, Project and Timeline backgrounds with the highlight being blue.  After I received an e-mail from a viewer who was wanting to change up not only the interface color, but the colors of the clips in their timelines, I decided to dig in a little, and get this up and running in my own workflow.  Even if you’re not big on changing the backgrounds in your interface windows, changing the clip or track colors will really help take your organization to the next level, and make finding elements in your timelines super easy to keep your edits running as smoothly as possible.
