Here’s the latest week or so of assorted After Effects tutorials, tips, and scripts & plug-ins new and old.

A few more tutorials on Element 3D, the new 3D plug-in, popped up. David Biederbeck posted How to import Cinema 4D Model into Element 3d with separate layers. And Ronn Trevino posted Exporting from C4D to Element 3D and Simple Marquee Demo into Element3D. Also, Serge Mustu shared Element 3D: Text Chunks Tutorial.

Eddy’s After Effects Tutorials posted 13. CorridorDigital Photoreal Tutorial; here’s his result and the original from CorridorDigital:

Shapes and Masks is a new AE script that is designed to give users more control to create shapes and masks, including spiral creation and options to transform mask paths and export mask data to a text file. See also Creating shapes and masks in AE Help.

Paul Conigliaro posted a MoChat 4 Transcript & Summary on Motion League. The chat was fast-paced and wide-ranging, and guest hosted by Adobe AE product management.

Both Todd Kopriva and Richard Harrington noted recordings and notes for “Ask a Video Pro” and “Ask a CS Pro” webinars.

Chris Meyer posted Adobe Hardware Performance White Paper, tips to configure or upgrade a workstation for Adobe video software.

Red Giant released a free update to Denoiser II, enabling it in Premiere Pro and Final Cut 7, and tweaking the denoising algorithm itself. We’ll have to see how fast it works in Premiere sans CUDA versus the more painful renders in AE with the previous version. Here’s Simon Walker on Getting Started with Magic Bullet Denoiser:
