ITN Source ramps up entertainment CLIP content with ITV Global Entertainment representation deal

ITN Source, the world’s leading provider of moving footage, has signed an exclusive international programme clip archive representation deal with ITV Global Entertainment Ltd, adding tens of thousands of hours of classic television and film clip content to its collection. The agreement enables ITN Source to license ITV clips to its professional customer base including, programme makers, filmmakers, education publishers and advertising agencies.

ITN Source already represents Granada, Survival and LWT collections for ITV Global Entertainment. The new agreement extends rights to ITN Source to sell programme clips from all TV and film archive collections owned by ITV Global Entertainment, including Carlton, Central, ITC, 12 Yard and HTV. This includes classic programmes such as The Prisoner, The Saint, Thunderbirds, Spitting Image and Inspector Morse as well as recent hits such as Marple, Hell’s Kitchen and I’m a Celebrity…

ITV Global Entertainment is the owner of the world’s largest British feature-film library, incorporating the Rank, Rohauer, Romulus, Korda and ITC libraries. Under the new arrangement ITN Source will sell clips from the classic film library, which dates back to 1922 and comprises of more than 1,500 titles. The critically acclaimed collection features iconic stars including Richard Burton, Vivien Leigh, Sophia Loren and Laurence Olivier, directed by legends such as David Lean, Alfred Hitchcock and Powell and Pressburger.
