Ingram Digital’s full suite of solutions for digital asset management and monetization

La Vergne, TN – Today, Ingram Digital SM, an Ingram Content Company focused on solutions for digital content management, hosting, distribution and promotion, announced that it has been selected by Princeton University Press to enable the publisher’s digital strategy. Ingram Digital will provide a comprehensive roster of services to Princeton University Press ranging from file digitization and format conversion to digital asset management, distribution, and e-book fulfillment.

“We are committed to disseminating scholarship within academia as well as to society at large, through books and now, increasingly, through electronic media,” commented Priscilla Treadwell, Electronic Publications Marketing Manager. “As demand for e-content has grown, we’ve become aware of the need to effectively monetize our assets in digital form while also thoroughly protecting the rights and integrity of our premium content. Ingram Digital, with its proven track record in the content industry, emerged as the ideal partner to enable our strategy.”

Princeton University Press will initially manage more than 500 front and backlist titles on Ingram Digital’s CoreSource platform, and expects to add 100+ frontlist titles in subsequent years. CoreSource is designed to ensure digital content is properly archived, file integrity protected, and versions controlled; it will function as an e-content hub from which the

publisher will control the delivery of digital files, metadata, and associated promotional materials.

In addition, Ingram Digital will work with Princeton University Press to ensure file formats meet delivery requirements, enabling the publisher to leverage opportunities across a wide variety of sales channels. The Press will also utilize Ingram Digital’s content syndication and e-book fulfillment services, as well as the Search and Discover suite designed to help customers find and sample content on the Web.

“By combining robust technology infrastructure with unsurpassed content expertise, Ingram Digital has established itself as the partner of choice to scholarly presses looking to launch digital strategies,” commented Tyler Ruse, Vice-President and General Manager of Ingram Digital Content Solutions. “We are excited to be working with Princeton University Press on such an important initiative.”
