Glidecam will use NAB 2016 as the launch pad for the XR-Pro, a critical addition to the Glidecam product family. The XR-Pro, able to handle up to 10 lbs./4.5 kg, was designed to provide customers with a budget-friendly and versatile stabilizer that can handle a wide range of camera and accessory weights, all while offering the upmost quality.
With a price of $289.00, the Glidecam XR-Pro combines, according to Glidecam, all of the best aspects of the former XR-Series and adds some new helpful features. The XR-Pro comes with 4 steel camera platform weight plates that enables the use of very light cameras – this is what allows for such a significant camera weight support range. The XR-Pro is enhanced with a new head design, which has a customized bottom plate that allows for more accurate side-to-side movement to ease the set-up process. It has the same high-end gimbal that is unique to Glidecam, and it also comes with 4 small steel camera platform weight plates should the operator want to add more mass and more inertia with the use of extremely light cameras.
