Fast Forward Video Announces Rebate Program

Riding the wave of positive response it received at the 2009 NAB Show, Fast Forward Video (FFV) today announced a special rebate program. The program offers significant discounts on purchases of FFV’s Omega HD, Omega SD, Elite HD, and DigiDeck digital video recorders (DVRs).

Under the new manufacturer’s rebate promotion, FFV is offering a savings of up to $7,785 to customers on purchases of the Omega HD, the company’s top-of-the-line high-definition DVR based on JPEG 2000 (J2K compression). In addition, the “Six Pack Promotion” for the Elite HD DVR offers a free Elite HD for every purchase of five units. The Elite HD is the industry’s first camera-mounted DVR and player to offer J2K recording. Both the Omega HD and Elite HD promotions expire on June 30, 2009.

In addition, FFV’s “Omega SD Explosion” offers the addition of the SDI option (a $3,999 value) to any Omega SD purchase. FFV is also offering two simultaneous play and record deck options within the reliable Omega SD series of DVRs. Also, through the “DigiDeck Face Lift” program, customers will be able to upgrade their existing DigiDeck DVR systems from an IDE to a SATA drive interface, for only $495. The DigiDeck DVR provides broadcast-quality digital video for multi-use, industrial applications. The upgrade will offer greater flexibility in drive choices, a faster response time, and USB capabilities.

“In light of current economic conditions, we wanted to do our part by offering our dealers and customers some substantial savings on some of our most powerful DVRs,” said Harry Glass, vice president of sales. “Given the high level of interest in our solutions at the NAB show, there is definite momentum in the industry for high-end, broadcast-quality DVR solutions.”
