Digital asset management leads to increased employee productivity

Enterprises that use digital asset management to ensure their marketing channels are operating at full efficiency will deliver noticeable strategic value in terms of increased employee satisfaction and productivity.

That is according to a report from research firm Aberdeen, which found that 75 per cent of best-in-class companies were able to leverage the technology to decrease the amount of time spent locating files, while 83 per cent increased their overall productivity, using such software solutions.

Ian Michiels, research analyst at Aberdeen, said: “Unfortunately, there is no single metric for measuring the strategic value of marketing digital asset management. Best-in-class demonstrate unique processes and capabilities that enable them to maximize investments in people, process and technology.

“Strategic value is derived from making technology an integral part of the marketing workflow and day-to-day operations.”

Leading firms indicated that they currently utilise Rich Media support (52 per cent), search capabilities (48 per cent), content indexing (43 per cent) and dashboards (41 per cent) to increase the effectiveness of the digital asset management system used by marketing.
