Digital Asset Management Conference: How One Agency Tamed the Digital Image Reproduction Monster

Team Detroit, the long-time Agency of Ford Motor Company, produces almost a million product photos each year for the Ford vehicle website and Ford’s various digital properties.  The needs of the site engineering team, the Ford Dealer network, and dozens of 3rd party publishers drive demand.  Size, weight, shape, focal point, and crop are some of the elements that may need to be customized on each image, and then, those custom images need to optimized for desktop, mobile and tablet.

More images, greater complexity and more screens were adding up to major budgets and time for Ford Vehicles.

Sound familiar?

Ford Motor Company and Team Detroit tackled the issues.   Bill Winters shares their story and how Ford Motor Company's support for innovation led to becoming the first Enterprise Client to a small tech start-up out of Detroit, sizzlepig®.  Now enjoying a 350%+ productivity gain in the first 5 months, Bill will share tips that could be helpful to any organization dealing with image and photography production.

Joined by Andrea Livingston and Mark Stewart from sizzlepig®, Bill and team also address DAM workflow, tags, metadata and other system and process integration consideration.
