San Diego, CA — DVEO, the broadcast division of San Diego based Computer Modules, Inc. (CMI), will feature the ultra-compact Cunima™ HD/SD camera at AFCEA West 2009, at the San Diego Convention Center, February 11-13. AFCEA West is the largest defense and technology exposition and conference on the West Coast. It is co-sponsored by AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) and the U.S. Naval Institute.

The Cunima 2/3-inch HD CMOS chip camera withstands high G-force and the shock of impact – making it suitable for use on military vehicles and aircraft. It measures just 1.2 x 1.4 x 4.4 inches and weighs 6.4 ounces.
The Cunima image sensor is 1920 x 1080 pixels, progressive scan. No external camera control unit is needed.

“The Cunima HD camera is strong enough for use on fast-moving equipment, plus it delivers sharp, high quality HD video that shows extensive detail,” stated Ray Asturias, Sales Manager. “The Cunima is ideal for our military and law enforcement customers. And broadcasters and content providers will find it useful for sports broadcasting and news gathering.”

Other products that will be featured at AFCEA West include the MVP200™ JPEG 20000/MPEG-2 playout server, and the Megacine SSD™ portable HD field recorder. CMI will also showcase Toshiba Teli industrial cameras, Optibase IPTV systems for military command centers, and RGB Spectrum multiviewers.
