Attend the FCPX Now What? Event

Are you in Burbank on Thursday August 18, 2011 at 7pm without anything to do? Do you care enough about the waves that Final Cut Pro X has made in the post-production community that you’d like to attend a panel discussion about FCPX and what we do now? Then register for the Keycode Media Final Cut Pro X: Now What? event. Registration is free but they say capacity is limited.

Keycode Media is reseller that “consults supports and sells digital media communication systems with the highest levels of integrity, empowering our clients to maximize their success.” They sell everything from Apple, Avid, Adobe, Assimilate, Autodesk, AJA and a bunch of other companies that don’t begin with the letter A. You can bet their business has been disrupted a wee bit since they probably won’t be selling the same kind of Final Cut Pro installs now that FCP is a $299 download.

Here’s what they say about the FCPX Now What? event: With heated debate taking place on the internet, social media outlets, and podcasts on the ramifications this latest release will have on the post industry, we invite you to join us for an evening of discussion with some of today’s leading editorial experts that will answer questions to Final Cut Pro- X, now what?

Panelists thus far include Larry Jordan and Norman Hollyn with the panel moderated by Michael Kammes. More panelists are to be added.

If you aren’t in Burbank you’ll also be able to ask questions on twitter, watch the event stream and even upload a video of your own thoughts on FCPX. The main event page has all the details and even more ways to join in the fun … including a 3D behind the scenes video.
