AccessPlus Wins Three New Health Sector Contracts

Leading print management and business process specialist, AccessPlus has again shown its strength in the UK health sector by winning three new contracts; Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, NHS Direct and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The three-year Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust contract, which commenced in April 2009, is for the procurement and management of all print and print-related items including marketing collateral, corporate livery and promotional goods, as well as warehousing, logistics and distribution. AccessPlus has also integrated its online ordering software, OSCOS2print into the Trust’s IT system, which will act as a central print ordering system right across the organisation helping to consolidate deliveries and reduce total print spend.

Renata Towlson, SeniorProcurement Manager at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We were very impressed with AccessPlus right through the pitch process. It was very apparent the team understood the market and they delivered a well-researched and robust presentation. AccessPlus proposed a highly innovative but solid commercial model which clearly identified where efficiencies were going to be created and importantly, a strong commitment to service levels and KPIs to ensure we achieved a good and timely return on investment.”

For NHS Direct, AccessPlus has been contracted for three years to manage the entire print production chain – from creative services and digital asset management upstream – right through to the printing, storage and distribution of all of the public service’s internal and external stakeholder communications and marketing materials.

“Our previous design, print, storage and distribution process was quite fragmented as it was handled by a range of different suppliers that can contribute to higher per unit costs,” said Sarah Armitage, Corporate Marketing and Communications Manager, NHS Direct. “AccessPlus proposed a number of strong print buying initiatives backed with excellent technology. So this entire process is now managed by one company which we anticipate will result in cost savings and a much more effective design and print production process. The fact that people can now order all our communications materials via AccessPlus’s online ordering system, OSCOS has streamlined distribution considerably.”

The third contract award from the Care Quality Commission will see AccessPlus consolidating the management, warehousing and distribution of all of the organisation’s printed materials.

Said Jason Cromack, CEO, AccessPlus: “Over the past few years we have built a very strong portfolio of clients in the public sector, and the health sector in particular. We are now very familiar with the way this sector operates and have developed as a result, what I believe are a range of robust and unique print management models that are highly responsive to the specific needs of this market. Winning these three new contracts in such a competitive market is something the whole of AccessPlus can take great pride in. I am confident that we will continue to grow our customer base in this sector and deliver innovative print management solutions that meet this market’s requirements.”
