Philips has a new 5K monitor

MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, will present some of its latest products at ISE 2016 – from 5K resolution to eye-protecting SoftBlue monitors. One standout highlight is the new Philips 27-inch LCD Monitor 275P4VYKEB with UltraClear 5K resolution. With 14.7 million pixels (5,120 x 2,880), the new display is also equipped with PerfectKolor technology, which ensures factory-calibrated 99% Adobe RGB colour space and one billion colours.

The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show is a show for professional AV and electronic systems and takes place 9-12 February at the Amsterdam RAI.

Panasonic flies with Yuneec

Yuneec continues to develop drone solutions that fit different cameras. Now they’ve developed the CGO4 in close cooperation with Panasonic to combine the best of Panasonic’s camera quality and Yuneec’s award-winning engineering. The CGO4 camera – based on the GH4 – features a 3x optical zoom lens, 16 megapixel photos, 4K-resolution video and distortion-free picture quality.

Ricoh continues to reveal aspects of the new Pentax DSLR, now with a mention of the new HD PENTAX-D FA 24-70mm F2.8ED SDM WR lens. With a 17-element, 12-group optical construction featuring three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, one anomalous-dispersion glass element, and three aspherical elements, the lens delivers high-contrast, high-resolution images with extra-fine details across the image field — from the center to the edges — while effectively compensating for a variety of aberrations.

 

Olympus updates firmware

With the excitement created around the launch of the new Olympus PEN-F a series of firmware updates for multiple Micro Four Thirds Olympus cameras made available last week was almost forgotten. Users of Olympus cameras E-M5, E-M10II, E-M10, E-P5, E-PL7, E-PL6, E-PL5 and E-PM2 should visit the download webpage, where they will find all the information about the updates.
