The IBC Awards celebrate individuals and organizations in the electronic media and entertainment industries that best demonstrate creativity and collaboration. An honor to participate, ITV was selected as one of four finalists out of hundreds of entries. This year’s winner is the World's first HFR 3D post for The Hobbit Trilogy Park Road Post Production.

ITV’s entry and position as a finalist validates the months of collaboration between Adobe and ITV to develop Adobe Story CC Plus, a scripting and scheduling tool that keeps pace with the pre-production demands of daily television shows. To provide some background, Adobe worked with ITV, the largest commercial television network in the United Kingdom, to transform Adobe Story from a scriptwriting tool into Adobe Story CC Plus, a tool that brings top-notch screenwriting capabilities together with robust scheduling and reporting tools.

ITV is particularly well known for producing two popular serial dramas, Coronation Street and Emmerdale. The network needed a strong screenwriting, scheduling, and reporting tool to meet the pre-production demands of these fast turnaround dramas. ITV came to Adobe with an idea of working together to develop Adobe Story Plus into this type of a tool. 

Working with ITV, and the teams on Coronation Street and Emmerdale, we added robust production scheduling to Adobe Story Plus. Bringing scripts and schedules together was the next logical step in the process of turning a story idea into a finished show.

The tool’s scheduling and reporting capabilities have become essential features for ITV and core to its production process, too. Adobe Story CC Plus now makes it possible to bind together the context and story with the plan for actually shooting the media, on every kind of production.
